Senior Estimator

Primary Job Purpose
Being able to accurately project the cost of upcoming projects is vital to the survival of Noise Solutions. To provide accurate bids and quotes to our Customers and/or Vendors. The Estimator provides this key information by costing the elements of each job to determine customer pricing and to ensure each product and sale will be profitable.
Key Job Duties and Accountabilities
o Develop pricing data sheets (or book) for the entire catalogue product line that reflects actual raw material and labor. - Portal
o Proven ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
o Maintain pricing data book to reflect raw material or labor rate changes.
o Ensure cost estimates tie to individual parts development and full assembly procedures.
o Analyze and compile data on each factor that may have an influence on costs. Elements include labor, materials, special machinery requirements and manufacturing location.
o Work closely with Sales, Finance, Project Management, Design, Manufacturing/Operations and Lead Hands to ensure all quote detail contain all the necessary manufacturing cost components.
o Work with Manufacturing/Operations Management to conduct post-job financial analyses to ensure all costs are tracked and cost estimates are accurately reflecting material and labor cost.
o Work with Management, Finance and Sales to understand trends in product-line, or job-type profitability to better hone our pricing approach by product line.
o Work with IT and Finance to utilize JobBoss systems for component and total project cost estimating and tracking across Noise Solutions' entire product line.
o Purchasing and Vendor Relationship Management
o Work closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, etc to develop detailed product component budgeting and ordering models.
o Work with purchasing to develop long-term procurement plans tied to the budgeting tool and business plans and strong relationship with key suppliers.
o Work with purchasing to plan and implement buying programs that match our short and long term raw material requirements, as ties to annual budgets plans and short term sales orders.
Skills Required
o Able to quick analyze, interpret and compare detailed and often inadequately defined information.
o Able to make reliable and accurate conclusions based on this knowledge
o Assertive and self-confident presenting and supporting their conclusions.
o Ability to share knowledge articulately with managers, engineers, sales and design.
o High level of self-discipline, motivation and integrity.
o Strong project management and organization skills.
Education and Experience
o A Bachelor's Degree or equivalence in manufacturing, design, math and sciences.
o Preferably a technical diploma or degree in mechanical or manufacturing technology.
o Over 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Construction, Quoting and Bidding.
o Management and non-authoritative leadership experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
